Brake fluid is actually more important than the pad for consistent performance/fade resistance. What fluid are you running?

P.S. I've not heard anything bad about the StopTech Street pads.

I'll leave you to the pad upgrades. My suggestion is to upgrade the fluid first and see if the brakes perform to your liking; look for high-temp stuff such as Motul 600, &c. I use this fluid:
http://store.vacmotorsports.com/tota...115-p1790.aspx
(More or less, I'm finding it tough to find logic behind upgrading pads if you like the OEM pad feel and just want more consistent performance after they warm up; that says fluid upgrade to me, not pads).

Personally I think the OEM brake pads are very good performers; even on the track I was just fine with them.

I have the Performance Pads on my MINI and they are awesome. Dirt cheap and fantastic capabilities on and off the track. They hold up quite well on the track and the brake dust isn't much of an issue.

I am looking at stoptech street performance pads and would like to hear people's thoughts on how they compare to oem pads.

I am going with the stoptech or oem pads. Not interested in hawk hps, cool carbons, etc. zeckhausen has these highly recommend... I know other pads compare, but have read many reviews that the stoptech a " feel" better than hawk hps, etc...

Please weigh in on the stoptech street performance pads and how they compare to oem.

Thanks guys!
HPS vs. Stoptech Street Performance, the winner is Stoptech for all around performance. HPS's only advantage over the Stoptech is the dust level is lower, that is all.

I've had Stoptech pads for about 3 months now. They perform just like OEM except there's less dust and cost less.

They bite just like OEM. They fade less after hammering the brakes repeatedly after "spirited runs". Also they dust 1/2 less than OEM. They still dust more than ceramic pads, but I guess that's the trade off for better stopping power. The pads are also quieter and don't squeal like OEM. The only time I hear a squeal is when I drive with the brakes cold, and it's only a slight squeal that goes away after about 2 full stops. I've got the pads set up with Centric High Carbon rotors non slotted/non crossdrilled on all four corners with OEM brake fluid.
