April meet: Backcountry drive and eat
Who is up for a little 3-series (I guess we could allow a 5er to play as long ad it was a M) meet an greet that "may" involve a bit I spirited driving and home cooking?
I'm on phase one of mapping the route and found out that the restaurant in question closes at 2pm Saturday and Sunday. The route from my place to here was pretty fun. Four a great place along the Green River for a photo shoot if you don't mind putting your rides on gravel. There was also a very nice 1/2 section that was pretty straight and out of the way. Posted speed limit was 35 Found a windy route back home too. I think we'll end with about 45 miles. I built a KMZ file in Google Earth if anyone wants to check it out. PM me your email and I'll send it. There is quite a bit of wooded area, sporadic homes, and a few little bitty communities that we will want to be considerate off. The basics I'm thinking would be to meet at the Lil store/post office in Hobart, head south to Enumclaw, eat at The Kettle (huge portions of home cookin'), then head towards Maple Valley via an enjoyable route. Probably figure 3-4 hours depending on how long we stop for pics. There was only one section of road that was pretty potholed, but it was covered in water, so I couldn't tell very well. It was a mile or two, but the rest of the drive down that road makes it worth it. I think we can slow down on this section for our lowered boys. Meet Saturday, 28 April, at 0800 at the Hobart Store/Post Office. Here's the store/post office address: 20250 276th Avenue Southeast Hobart, WA 98038 (425) 413-1967 And street view: http://maps.google.com/maps?hl=en&ba...85184361303546 I'm also considering having an after-drive meet at the house for those who want some basic coding done. Essentially, I'd be willing to hook you up with my laptop and cable, walk you through the steps to code your car, let you do the work, and also let you see what's invovled. It would be a simple list of features that I've already done to my 335. You can search to find those. If you want any lighting mods, you need to read through the coding forum to figure out what to do. Going for sure: 1. Wdlfbio - Laurence 2. gclik 3. Hareesh +1

I'm good with the following Saturday instead. The wife and I are not FB-types. So if someone wants to set this up on FB, have at it. I can send the google earth file for the FB page too. Depart the Hobart store at 0900 Saturday, 21 or 28 April. Maybe offer both choices and see which date gets more approval?

I think we may be able to accomodate on a section of road... Do you have a link to the FB page? I saw the Meet III one but not this one. Yes, I am that computer illerate (which is why it took 3 weeks to get my computer set up with all the coding needs).
