What defines a super car?

Would peeps consider a GTR a super car or is this the preserve of the european brands?

Is it is simply performance?

Yeh I reckon GTR is supercar...

not just about performance but a supercar has to have a certain jaw dropping factor about it. GTR turns enough heads... just. It certainly has presence.

I think a Supercar is defined by a few factors, one of them being having a 0-100 time of less than 4.0 seconds, a certain top speed and a certain 'appeal' or 'recognition' with standout looks.

The GTR has all of the above. You considering one Pavo? I'm in the same boat. I'm THIS close to jumping ship.

The m3 is clearly not a supercar, I'd say it is more of a luxury car with a degree of performance to back it up.

Based on this vid...where would the m3 end up? Last or close to it?

saw the video and saw how the 1M and the lotus got owned but they are not really a straight line machine though.

I am surprised the R8 got the jump on the GTR (at launch) only for the GTR to beat it straight away!

Supercar is both:
A. Too impractical to drive on the street.
B. Too expensive to drive on the circuit.

So when its not in the workship, it spends most of its days in the garage connected to a battery charger. I'm not sure if the GTR qualifies though.

Tbh most supercars these days are pretty easy to drive on the street...

Murcielago - crap to drive, shit aircon, clunky gearbox, poor visibility, noisy
Aventador - very easy to drive, doors are much lighter (or gas struts are better calibrated), reversing camera, brilliant gearbox and comfort mode is very, well, comfortable for suspension/transmission shifts.

Good point about how they have a certain degree of 'specialness' about them. Supercar should be something you don't/won't want to drive everyday.

M3 and c63 can considered as a baby super car...
IMO as for R35, yes it is fast, but it is still a nissan...super car should be more luxury right? like lambo, astons ...etc

I use to own a G35 before my 328 and I love both cars.. But theres nothing more I hate when people would say stuff like this.. Its still a Nissan as if its a bad thing..

Yes they make basic cars as well as this monster but Nissan and also Toyota
have deep racing histories and also show what there capable when they want to create a hardcore performance car. They have proven they can hang and overtake the best in the biz.

As for the luxury I agree with ya on that the GTR is no Italian exotic but they do over diff editions that turn up the luxury ( see below GT-R EGOIST OEM luxury ).

At the end of the day im a car enthusiast and im not a fanboy and def not 100% biased to any brands of cars.. ( I do love my BMW though )

dont care about the nissan badge but that interior is all fawked up, seriourly fawked up. The first photo was pretty bad, but the next two just proved it could get worse.

still LMFAO that cum bucket mexican thinks his the baws and an m3 is a super car (I wonder what goes through that giant brain, when a 1er pulls up at the lights next to his 'hehehehehe' SUPER CAR

Dont even know what to say to that.. OK M3 is not a supercar it is a nice high performance car.. A super car would be like an M1 if they brought it back.
