Isn't there a difference between this single after market kit and a turbo kit developed for a car that was not already FI. Shouldn't this be a little more reasonably priced due to that.
Also, there will have to be multiple prices because the kit will be with the Procede tune and meth kit also. So what will the credit be for people who already have both or just 1, that will all have to be taken into account. |

I can't see the Vishnu turbo kit at $5999, I'm
Intrested to see what's "required" to run the kit..

Supposedly there is a fueling system upgrade though. Don't know if it is software (flash the fueling maps) or hardware. |

I honestly think that if HPF would redesign their manifold and tweak a few things to make it an easy install, like perhaps getting rid of thew new brace they had to make, then I would be much more interested in their kit. I mean, what can a guy do with 2500??? Well heck, you could about buy some RB upgrades while you're at it.

Reasonable prices I see from other platforms, all rough estimates
1200- manifold 1400- turbo 200-external wastegate 500-downpipe 200-fuel pump 600-injectors ???- miscellaneous nuts bolts clamps Seperate pricing for intercooler and intercooler piping?? Add.on price for tuning option?? What am I missing?? Has HPF said what all their kit will include?? |

Where as with the n54, it's already turboed, albeit its twin to a single but I'd guess the process is much more plug and play than it is with the m3. |

You can not compare other platforms where there is enough demand to maintain a "rolling" manufacturing process AND up front R&D investment is quickly returned. The fact is these will not have high demand, which almost makes each kit similar to a "one-off", which is horrible for return on investment let alone profits. You guys really need to stop looking other platforms and not considering these production based issues and costs. HPF had already released a price AFAIK, and it seems very reasonable all things considered. That said, if you like the prices of the other platform and can not understand the above then it maybe time to consider that other platform. My $.02.

What do you think HFP's logic was when deciding to set a stage 1 pricepoint of under $6k? You don't think they said, "Well our stage 3 m3 goes for 11k, this is only stage one" Im just spitballing but as progression happens in a new market you need to grasp for anything that is somewhat comparable. Or I could be wrong and they just take, (Labor costs + parts cost) X 30% profit margin = price of product |

I don't think it's a simple formula. It's like what do I need to make to make this even be remotely worthwhile. Especially considering the hundreds of hours and thousands of dollars you must spend in advance (ie risk) before even selling a single thing.
