Review - Vanguard V2 Cat-Back Exhaust (Videos Inside)

Couple of things:

My Vanguard droned. It didn't rasp.

Stock exhaust and downpipes rasp on my car. I kinda like it.

Vanguard will definitely not let you return it if you chop it up to modify it.

I know exactly what rasp is. And nothing is as bad as an e46 M3 lol.

That's weird cause I don't think mines sound like that but I could be wrong. If you want to meet up or something we could. I have catless DPs too

I guess it boils down to variations in their manufacturing process. The root cause certainly cannot be install related.

+1 i was thinking vanguard and catless dp's but the rasp at the top end is terrible... maybe axleback and dp's would be better

My vanguard sounded loud and raspy at first, after about 500 miles it sounds better, and in warmer weather it sounds better. I hear you though OP, compared to the M3 or other cars i've heard on the road, there isn't really a exhaust i've heard yet that makes the 335 sounds badass

The Catback exhaust will let you eeek out the most power though than the stocker...

I love the sound the only thing I don't like is that the car switches gears too slow at high RPM making the exhaust sound a little funny to me. But it doesn't matter cause I'm trying to sell mines due to a custom exhaust I need.

I'm running AR DP's and Vangard V2 and my car doesn't sound like your car either. It has a little rasp, but it's not as high pitched as yours and it's only under full throttle at high RPM's, the rest its just really deep and you can hear a lot of turbo spool.

Only problem I have is the smoke coming out randomly during deceleration or in freeway traffic, which I have not found a fix for after much searching on here.

Your turbo seals are probably bad. Mine was doing the same thing, got new turbos, problem gone.

I wouldn't get Vanguard ever again. It sounds horrible as you can tell from my video. I didn't bother with the X pipe.
