Car washed at Details, Details, Details in Rockville, MD.

Hey Fellas,

Just wanted to let you know that the pictures I posted of my car are after I got my car washed at Details, Details, Details in Rockville, MD.

They do a superb job! As you can probably see.

They charge $25 for a complete hand wash and interior cleaning. No machines, all manual labor. It takes about 20 - 30 minutes.

I have always taken my old S4 here and now I plan on taking my 335 here when I don't have the time to wash it myself.
I know we all would like to wash our cars ourselves but if you don't have the time or if its like 104 degress outside, I would recommend this place.

Just some information to pass along.

Do you have to wait a long time for your turn for hand wash?

Yeah not sure what products they use.
I just see a lot of different colored liquids, pastes, gels, and what not in plastic squeeze bottles.

They also full service detailing and mini-detailing as well.
Weekdays are pretty good, not too busy. Probably best if you call and make an appointment. Ask for the Deluxe Wash, that is what I got.
I made an appointment for 2:30, was out by 3 - 3:15.

An example of type of customers they have:
I was sitting there, admiring my car, when a guy with Black Mercedes CLS 63 AMG pulls up to get his Deluxe Wash done. I was like damn.

I have seen them wash brand new vettes, a S class bi-turbo V12 Mercedes, numerous BMWs.

Here is a link to the pics I posted:

I second PSI's evaluation of Details.... I had a few deluxe washes done there and I am very pleased. I met the owner and he's a nice guy and very customer oriented. When one of his staff messed up my appointment, he gave me a free deluxe wash.

I've not tried any of their other services. Of course, I see Shim when it's Zaino time.

Yeah, I will probably hit up Shim for a real detail with the Zaino stuff.

The owner at Detailsx3 is a great guy. Very customer oriented.
If they missed spot, just let them know and someone will take care of it on the spot.

Great place for a car wash by hand and quick detailing. They did a nice job of cleaning up my rims. Those babies look difficult to clean. May need to get some brake disc covers.

For $10 I'll only wash the hood. Another $10 and I'll wash the rest of the car, and another $5 and I'll throw in the wheels.

I do have the maestro aka shimshimhada do routine washes on my car every now and then, but he's getting harder to pin down and he takes half a day

Maybe I'll drop by Scott's place...for $25, can be beat. He Scott, is that the same price for all vehicles? Maybe I'll come down with a semi...

$5 for a scooter, $7 for a motorcycle, $9 for a golf cart, $13 for an AMC Pacer or Gremlin, $19 for any Kia, $25 for all two-axle cars, $35 for a minivan or SUV, $50 for any big honkin' redneck *ss monster truck, $100+ for a commercial vehicle, and depending on size and purpose...

and no, I don't have a car wash business on the side...but I WILL help anyone who wants to detail their car...just ask sstarch1...I think he was satisfied w/ the results...

That sounds like a good deal to me.
What products do you use?

Honestly, if I had the time, I would DEFINITELY wash any members car for $25 bucks...some of you guys are dirty bitches...

I use all Griot's Garage supplies and towels...and I do drive around with a full detailing kit, convertible wash bucket, microfiber towels / detailing mitts, and all...call me crazy, but i love a clean car.
