e92 mods?

Hey guys, I've been reading a lot and just had some quick questions.

I want to add in blackout kidney grills, angel eyes and the blacklines mod. I'm getting a e92 coupe? (are 328i's included as e92's?) and all of those mods are for e90, are those parts compatible? They all say 2006+, just want to check. Also do you void any manufacturer warranties by installing these?

From what i've read, there are blackout kidney grills and AE mods for the e92 coupe, not sure about the blacklines.. I thought that was just for the sedans. And yes, the 328i's are apart of the e92s. Also from what i've read, I think some, but not all, parts of the e90s are compatible with the e92s. I think you'll also have to keep in mind that your warranty may be void if you install aftermarket products.

Their are blacked out kidney grills specifically for the e92 ( yes 328 are e92 as well). Angel eyes are stock. If you mean change the color of the angle eyes you can search and find a thread about it. All you need is a set of H8 35watt bulbs. Its much easier then the sedans. And theirs no such a thing as blacklines for the e92.

I dont see why you would even need warranty on your kidney grills. And if your new angel eye bulbs burn out, just buy a new set or replace it with the stock ones.

Thanks for the response guys, are you guys sure the blacklines don't work in the coupes? I really like the look of blacklines and would like to change them...

Black lines will not work on the E92, the rear end is completely different, I don't know why that guy was giving you false hope, you'd have to completely remold the back of your car.

Angel Eyes are simple, just a quick H8 bulb swap, you'll probably want to do the corner light as well.

If you can't find a black grill you could do the DIY in the DIY section (although its for an E90) its the same concept of sanding and painting.

Thanks Caster... I'm hoping to find either OEM chrome grills to paint black or blackout I guess, I just don't want to get blackout kidney's because they are plastic and the stock is chrome right? (pickup up car on Friday)

If I'm not mistaken, painting the kidney grills black is not recommended as itll chip over time. I think its better to get it in black plastic? Can anyone confirm this?
