1/8 are for mullet and civic kids, find another playground.

My tips is to find a 1/4 strip and install proper tire, our car arent made for straight line acceleration, playing on a 1/8 is a waste of time, you only burn your clutch and tire and when you finaly get traction it is time to brake! In my book 1/4 are too short for us.

If a 1/4 mile is to short for you then you need some serious driving lessons.

Your 60ft is why your times are so crappy. The first 60ft basically is the most important part in drag racing and getting good times. If you are .5 off on your 60ft, that is about a full 1.0 secs off your ET @ a 1/4 strip.

What kind of tire pressure are you running in the back? Are the tires NT05s or NT05Rs? I would suggest running about 18-20psi cold pressure in the back. 2500-3500 but DO NOT dump the clutch give it a slight slight with part throttle 1/2-3/4 until you feel the car hook then smash it. Do not just go WOT right out of the gate

I ran an 8.5 with just JB+ AND DCI back in the day on street tires. You might have to heat up your tires a little more and check your shifting.

Also to note on heating the tires. On a street tire, non drag radial, you want to do a quick spin to clean them off and get a little heat in them. You DO NOT want to do a big smokey burnout, that will make them more slick. Also DO NOT go through the waterbox if possible go around it. Back into the wet spot after the puddle (not the puddle) and do your burnout. Street tire cars should not be using the waterbox, it not only hurts yourself, but hurts the guys running slicks/drag radials because you are dragging all that water forward.

racing is fun period, i went to the 1/8th mile track in the fall because the quarter was closed that weekend. i want to say i broke 8.9 but i cant remember, as far as wheel spin i would gas on the last yellow and release the clutch on green, tiny bit of spin then grab and shift at 6200rpm and push trac cont button not held in. i have bone stock n55, and i beat 2 gt500's and numerous v8's. i lost two races out of ten, one i just got beat the other against a srt10 ram and i had him till i redlined the motor and lost power.
