Fluid Motor Union...its not just bimmers

From AZ, not my post but its a common theme:

Warning!!!!!!!!!!!fluid motor union warning!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Took my car to Fluid motor union this summer, the car was at their shop for the whole summer, payed them over 3k for repairs and what not. The whole service was just BS. Never had an experience like ive had with them.. Should of taken my car to discount tires to get the repairs done...
Any ways after a long hassle i was done with their BS, took the car home (tow truck). They told me the flywheel was fucked, so i just did it my self. Started the car and it sounded funny to me, took it around a block, and i knew it did not sound right. But i was not familiar to the car since it was stage 3+ APR Audi TT. Bought the car and immediately i dropped it off ant FLUID. Never new what was appropriate sound for it, it had bigger injectors so it would sound louder than my other stock TT with 1.8t in it. So it sounded weird to me drove to my buddies shop maybe 3 or 4 miles. We talked and then he finally asked me have i check the oil. I said no, but there should be oil since i did the oil change before i dropped it off at fluid, and the car came straight from Fluid so there should be oil in there..
He checked the dipstick and it was completely empty! He put it 5 quarts of oil in there that means it was completely flushed. 5 miles later i blew a rod due to oil starvation
Is it really that hard to tell a customer that there is no oil in the engine? Their shop is the biggest pile of shit I've ever been to.
Called them spoke with Chris, I started bitching at them how their service is shit and what not and it really is. His response was "you bought a shit car, which is not worth anything, its a piece of shit" thats what he said to a customer.
The first time i asked them if i can take the car back from them because i was in need of a car they said it would be ready in few days, took the car from them the car drove about half a mile and it just died and wouldn't start on me. called them they got a tow truck, about 2 weeks later the car was "ready" for a pick up, drove roughly 50 miles with the car and the waste gate just well out of the car had to go get it off the street. And that is just BULLSHIT since they just did a turbo rebuild..

THE SHOP IS NOT RELIABLE, I WOULDN'T EVEN TAKE MY CAR TO THEM FOR A TIRE PRESSURE CHECK UP.. THEY WOULD MESS IT UP SOMEHOW..
DONT LET THEIR BUILD FOOL YA

GARBAGE SHOP WITH GARBAGE CUSTOMER SERVICE, ALL THEY CARE ABOUT IS YOUR MONEY AND NOTHING ELSE.

WORST SHOP EVER!

They lost 10 costumers I knew including me. They are POS Shop. They did a coolant flush on my buddies e36 and put no coolant in after and he overheated and luckily no engine damage.

In my E90 they did something I forgot what it was but when i was driving it home they did not put my underpanel on right and it fell of on the highway. I called the shop and yelled at them and some asshole comes and says what you want me to bring a tow truck or something and I hung up and went the next day and bitched at them and they said that guy got fired. Yea right BS. I will never go back to them ever again. So many horror stories with these guys.

They painted my buddies E46 M3 front bumper and it started to peel crack and all sorts of things. They did some ghetto wiring on my other buddies E36 m3 for his fog lights. My other friend with his E36 M3( I know too many e36 guys) brought it in for something and they said hey theres a bad ground from your head unit and he goes okay i just got it installed and ill go to them instead since they need to fix it. He goes there and was fine payign a diagnostics or something but they fixed the problem and 300.00 was the bill. He ended up paying for it after fighting and never went back.

I can write pages on this POS SHOP. I had them accuse me of writing a bad comment on one of their youtube pages saying fuc* FMU and I go I know the guy and its not me and it was the guy whos car got overheated.

A&L AUTOBODY> Everything else.

Marilyn is such an annoying woman holy shit and their dogs need to die.

I have to say I'm surprised. I've had nothing but good experiences with them.

You guys can say what you would like but you lost tons of business already from doing sketchy business. There is plenty of forums that bash on FMU and I wonder why. Im not going to get involved anymore and dont need a reply. I just wanted to make it clear of my experiences and many others.

wow..

I've heard only 1 good response from them doing a motor swap, but this many bad reviews takes the cake.

Won't be bringing my car there ever.

Thank you for the heads up guys!

btw, LOVE iND. Great guys there. VSM can be annoyingly pricey sometimes, but theres never a doubt of whether the job was done right or not.

Though, I would NOT recommend VSM for coding.

I was thinking to take my car there next week for the dyno run. What's A&L ? Do you know any reliable shop where they have dyno and can tune my 335i ?

Dean's Motorsports has a dynojet. Not familiar with the workmanship but I believe the owner has a track-ready E46 M3 so I think he's familiar with BMW's. It's typically a mustang shop though from what I see / hear.

I liked the employees at the dyno day they held this past spring. friendly guys.

A&L Bodyshop in Palatine is the sister shop to iND Distribution. Google iND distribution and you'll see some of their work.

A forum member on the chat thread sarcastically sent you to fluid. In retrospect, that probably wasn't wise as he also reps for a local tuning company that I would recommend.

At any rate, avoid Fluid. Eurocharged is the tuning company. I'd still recommend them despite uddubbadger's sarcasm.
