Factory specs on 2006 BMW E90 subwoofer?

I couldn't find any post about this specifically. Anyone know how many watts are in an '06 E90 subwoofer? I don't have the Logic 7 system, just the regular one.

I recently bought two Earthquake SWS-8x subwoofers that are 300W each, so I'm kind of curious how much I'll gain from them.

I'm not sure on your question but I've got the Logic7 sound package and the woofers are way more than enough. I turned the bass down a bit. I know extreme bass and panel vibrations are pretty popular these days though. All personal preference.

Amp your SWS with 200 punch 2 amp and you will be very happy. Gains without additional power are not significant, just deeper base.. I have technic harness that I just posted in for sale section that will make it pnp. It plugs in between factory amp and factory harness, has inline converter and ability to either a) add external subwoofer, or amp underseat subs. I tried both and adding more power to SWS gives much more enjoyable bass than trunk mounted sub. At least that's my opinion..

Thenewrick is right, panel vibrations on e90 with amped SWS were annoying for me. So to remedy that I dynomatted around underseat woofers. Rattling doesn't go away completely, but not as bad and not audible inside..

I had an 8 inch JL sub in my trunk in the Subie and it was 10x as much bass as I could ever want. It would violently shake the car when turned up. It was then I realized how silly adding subwoofers to cars is. I know a bunch of people who are doing dual 10 inch subs and other huge setups and in the end they all have to just turn the volume down way low hah.

I'm not looking for panel vibrations, I personally think that's a little obnoxious. I 'm just looking for deeper bass without the unnecessary discomfort. I haven't installed them yet and after reading on the forums a few people have mentioned they use spacers, and I'm going to be really pissed if I need spacers to install them since the ad says "direct replacement for OEM under-seat subwoofer." Anyone installed these before, or something similar beneath the seat? And if so, any pre-installation advice?

Yes spacers will be needed.. SWS are slightly deeper than stock, but sound excellent.. I would still amp the subs to get more defined bass... It won't be boomy or rattling, I ran mine with bass setting at -4 and 80hz eq set at lowest.

Doesn't the stock subwoofer sit on a spacer already? What I'm thinking is, if this subwoofer is the same size and spec as the stock subwoofer, shouldn't I be able to use whatever is already in the subwoofer compartment acting as a spacer?

Not same depth.. I had made spacers with dremmel out of included with SWS subwoofer trim rings.. I would look for jtsherri spacers, also searching for those.. Do a search, there are good install threads on here..
