Hi - when you read codes with Procede the CEL turns on to let you know its working. Are you sure its not that? Check the video in this thread.

I have similar problem..
after following upgrade instruction to the letter everything seemed "normal" engine running, no lights or anything THEN i move cruise control up holding it to go to MAP2 i got 2 beeps, the car SHUT OFF! and i got the CEL. reduced power, and I have CEL now update i re installed again.. and all is ok... so, how do i check/ clear the can codes using the user software? thanks!
