Are e46 and e90 rear spring pads interchangeable?
Hey guys! I recently had H&R sports installed on my e90 and I'm happy with the front height but the rear is too low for my liking. I'd like to gain about a half inch. I see that for e46s, multiple sizes of rear spring pads were offered but for the e90 this is not the case. For the e46 there are offerings from 5mm all the way up to 21.5mm (the latter offered as a part of the 'rough road' package). I've been looking at different options to increase my height a bit by means of different OEM spring pads and I see that the 21.5mm variant for the e46 (part no. 33531091599) is listed on the site I found it as also fitting the e90.
https://parts.bmwofsouthatlanta.com/...531091599.html Anybody know if they're truly interchangeable? I'd most likely go with the 15mm option but I'd love to know if I can use these for an e90. If not I'll probably switch to a different rear spring. Thanks! Edit: Additionally, I've considered getting a set of adjustable spring perches, like from a set of coilovers. A few companies sell them for pretty cheap but since those are meant for shorter springs than mine, I'm not sure if they'd be thin enough even on the lowest setting. Thoughts?
