Are you just joshing us? I was unaware E92's fenders are plastic. Anyhow, michsu has a E90, and I'm pretty sure E90s have metal fenders...

I think the front ones are plastic.. or either the back.. wasn't sure on that.. one of them was.. I'll find out more about it and tell you guys tomorrow..
talks about plastic fenders for e92 (coupe), not my e90 yet.. Convertible also has plastic fenders.. but I think the e90 (Sedan) is the only one that has metal fenders.. still looking.. http://forums.roadfly.com/forums/bmw...8745205-3.html http://www.cardesignnews.com/site/ho...re4/item16149/ "The Coupe variant also uses more plastics in its construction, including lightweight plastic front fenders."

I have about 600 miles on my Bridgestone Potenza RE-01R's and they f*ckin rock!!!.
The only thing I liked better about the stock tires was the super crisp turn-in that you get from having a run-flat with very stiff and reinforced sidewalls. Not that the RE01Rs are soft by any means just not quite as RIGHT NOW as the stock tires, BUT the RE01Rs offer greater cornering speeds and better acceleration grip. I am sure that gets better as the tires wear down as well, the stock ones were almost at the wear bars. The less tread you have on a tire the more stable and crisp the turn-in and cornering will be.

My REO50aPP's have an XL load rating. Running a 245 in the front and 275 in back. Got about 10k on them and I think they feel great. Good in the wet and pretty quiet rolling too.

The difference between the TA-KDW-2's and the GS-D3's are only $150 now with the $50 off. Since the GS-D3 can handle the occasional cold night, I cannot justify for me the TA-KDW-2's over the GS-D3.

Wow, this is very interesting. Anyhow, about the topic on hand. The SPTs aren't in the same performance bracket as many of the other tires you listed. The comparable Kumho tire to the PS2s are the Kumho Ecsta MX. These are rather pricey, but are the comparable tire when speaking of the PS2s. 1010tires is the only vendor I've found that carries the tire in the 275/30/19 size. They're $375 a pop. Otherwise, I think the Bridgestone Potenza RE01-R tire are probably your best bet as far as best grip for the money. The SPTs are decent tires, but IMO, far from the grip levels the RE01-Rs can offer for the price.

To throw something else into the mix, I'm actually going with the Vredestein Sessanta. They were rated very high by a European test and the prices are reasonable. They have the sizes you're looking for as well.
You can purchase them from Strictly Foreign. They're located close to where I grew up. http://www.estrictlyforeign.com/asp/...3=Sessanta&L4=
