Passenger sub makes no sound, drivers sub working fine

I always thought the balance was off on my E93 I bought in September. I finally tested and there is no sound at all coming from the sub under the passenger seat. Is it worth it to lift seat and open for lose wire or is the=is more likely an amp issue.

Dealer is swamped and wants me to wait to bring in (car was in twice last month, one to fix roof, second to fix roof again (and it looks like they didn't fix correct;y so it has to go in again for that as well).

could be anywhere, head unit, amp or speaker connection. could even be a faulty amp.

Check underseat first. Not hard to lift up seat. Just make sure you disconnect battery if u plan on unhooking the underseat wire harness.

Your local hardware store or Home Depot should have one. Get one that goes on a ratchet, it will make life easier.

Pulled the seat and checked the sub. No loose wires and sub made no sound or movement at all. Nothing obvious, so will take to dealer to see what needs to be fixed.

P.S. Seat is effing heavy!

go to sears, but all the torx set if its still on sale, it has them all plus the reversed ones. You will need it.

The likely culprit is the speaker, but like they said could be wiring or amp as well.
