Not sure about the i phone but the password should be the same number that shows up on the screen. It will say BMW XXXXXX. Try and plug that number into the phone as well as the i drive screen

I just had to re-pair my phone today.....make any 4 digit code on your phone then enter the same code on your iDrive/radio.

I have an '06....not sure if it's different.

This is the correct sequence, enter on phone (create it), then on the car....I don't have iDrive and that's how mine works...

Try "0000" -- that was the default car password, IIRC, from when I set mine up.

Ohh I wanna add that before you follow my steps above....you need to initialize pairing mode in your car.

For CCC iDrive: Home screen, press down on the knob, select the middle menu (I forget what it's called), bluetooth is on the bottom, once you're in that menu, select pair phone or something like that.

Not sure about non-iDrive or CIC systems.....I'm sure someone will chime in. Or you can check your manual.
