its a 2007 so it might have a few issues since its the first year it came out.
i would goto the dealer have diag it for you. My dealer tells me everything wrong on the car, then i make up and excuse and DIY everything myself.

this way you'll see if there were any recalls on it, etc.

i don't really understand why people are telling you tell sell the car? the e90 is probably the best car bmw ever created IMHO....

first thing first did you get an ODBII scanner? your gonna need one if your gonna DIY your own repairs. The ECU pretty much tells whats wrong with it..
you can pick up one on amazon for $150.00

why don't you describe the symptops?
and list out what you repairs you tried so far..
also how many miles you have so far?
plug in laptop to JB4 you can sorta read codes from the JB4..

And for the "Advice" sell it and buy a new car, just stop. If i wanted to sell it and buy a new car i would have done so i dont need people telling me that, if your information isn't relevant to my issues or can actually help in some way, i would appreciate it if you would just not post. Not trying to be rude but its like pushing religion on someone.. If you believe in wasting money on a new car then so be it, not me thanks.

"Total repairs done on my 335i around 1500$ (3000 if you include the clutch but that was entirely expected* Money ive saved on owning a used car (200$ a month over 650$ a month) well ive had it a year, 450 * 12 = 5400$.. Seems like a good plan to me. "That doesnt include the cost of insurance alone im saving.

I have an OBDII reader, connects right to my Laptop, I can even go as far as programming the car to the correct numbers for new fuel injectors.

Ended up being a bad oil filter causing all of these issues..

Good luck bro!

The problem with fixing it yourself is the pain u gotta deal with in finding out what the heck is wrong. Diagnosis is a PITA. I'm not saying ur not smart but it can be hard. Im not too bad at working on cars but I still take mine to some guy who is a master technician at BMW and does all the work in his garage. Sure I pay a bit more but it saved a lot of stress. If ur living in the SoCal area send me a PM.

Also, how many miles does your car have? It's good to do preventative maintenance like replacing gaskets before they leak or else they will cause secondary problems

Well if you're claiming that paying 450$ a month is saving money, I pay less than that for the 2013 I got brand new and that has a warranty. Fwiw

oil filter... wow thats really strange that it caused stalling... i think people here pretty much use MANN or Mahle filters.

awesome you figured it out.... i believe one can do 75-80% diy on these car if you don't have a lift.

if your gonna keep the car for i would do a stage 0 on it:

http://www.robertspinner.com/downloads/Stage0.pdf

you do that preventive maintenance you basically wont be breaking down.

When I saw a thread titled "New plan to fix my 335i", I knew it was Navyguy before I even looked. Then I immediately scanned all the comments looking for kdbryce. Gotta say, I was disappointed - I expect better from you

Anyway, I think OP is saying that he's paying $200 per month, which is a $450 savings over the $650 per month he thinks he'd pay for a new car.

lol indeed, i am actually paying less than 200 a month. But same difference.

I think the math made sense.

I scrolled for any codes ir any actual diagnosis of the issues. That's another thing all his threads leave out
