Question How to remove PC backing plate?

I need a new backing plate for my PC 7424. How do you remove the old one? I can't figure out how to get a wrench in between the backing plate and the unit?

Am I making this harder than it is actually is?

You might have to just spin the buffer a little. The counterweight (about a half circle) can block the opening to get the wrench in to loosen the backing plate. You should be able to insert the wrench at a slight angle without much of a problem.

Let us know if you get it.
