Two oil coolers... Need help

Ok... I have the sport package and have the oem oil cooler but I was wondering if its possible to run 2 oil coolers? I was planning on running the 2nd oil cooler right behind my kidney grills but I really don't know where to begin with running the lines. This oil cooler has just been kinda collecting dust so I figured I could put it to some use on my E90 if it would help. I have access to all the lines/hoses and fittings that I would need I just need to know if it would really be beneficial... Any input will be appreciated...

Lol... Sorry for the massive pics.

You are basically talking about the ArDesign setup. The brackets they sent me didn't fit though. I pounded out my own from old computer cases, everything is going fine so far. I did have to drill new holes for the bolts. Just take off you front bumper and take a look. I'm sure you can figure it out.

GL!

If the car already has the stock oil cooler can you just remove the spring to allow constant oil flow into the cooler?

You would only do that if you live in a warm area. The spring is part of the thermosat, if you remove that and it gets cold out, oil will take forever to warm up.

That looks like a transmission cooler designed for low pressure. If you're going to do the work I would buy a bona fide cooler. Setrab & Mocal are two good ones.

Have you looked for a different spring to allow oil flow at a lower heat range like 200 or 210?
