Pentosin DOT 4 LV ,is this good for E90 ?
Just want to know if Pentosin DOT 4 LV brake fluid is good enough for a 2006, 325xi , I'm about to make a purchase between Pentosin, Castrol GT-LMA, or Ate, any assistance would be appreciated.

I've used it, but felt the pedal got soft quicker than I expected, and changed to ATE Typ 200 when I replaced the front brakes.
I have 6 mths on the ATE, but I feel no degradation, and based on experience with it on my E46, should hold up better for 2 yrs. Last edited by AlanAZ; 08-28-2012 at 07:33 PM.. |

Brake fluid is brake fluid. If it meets DOT 4 spec then it will work as good as any for the two-year period it will be in the system. I have Pentosin in my car right now. I flushed the brakes in May of this year. It works as it should.

Valvoline & Castrol GT LMA brake fluid
Well I purchased the Valvoline brake fluid which I read is pretty good compared to Castrol GT LMA, I bought it on sale for $5.99 for 32 ounce bottle at Advanced Auto Parts in Yonkers,NY, the sale ended 8/29/12.
Valvoline Synthetic High dry boiling point up to 480°F Minimum wet boiling point is 311°F http://www.valvoline.com/products/br...brake-fluid/28 Castrol GT LMA - DOT 4 - High dry boiling point up to 446ºF Minimum wet boiling point is 311ºF
