Can I use OEM rear shocks to replace blown coilover shocks?

So the rear shocks on my coilovers are blown and in order to get warranty replacements I need to send them in.

Can I put my OEM shocks in their place in the rear until my warranty replacements come in?

What if I found coilovers that use the same spring rates, could I use replacement shocks from then instead?

Peeps have done much worse than that for quite a long time...I don't see why you can't use the OEM piece; especially since it's just temporary.

What type of coilovers and how many miles? I would think you could but the ride will be much worse.

Sure it will do no harm...alot better than riding on blown shocks.
