Make sure you do a before and after on the dyno or at the track to understand the massive gains you will have.

If you want a BOV, buy a turbo Civic.

If you want my opinion I would not put one on these cars! If you have to do something get some forged diverter valves.

If you want bling under the hood and some extra sound its your money. Make sure that it comes with some quality hard piping and something that recirculates and you should be fine. Its just money not well spent though

These engines are built to recirculate excess boost. It's a closed loop system. Blow off valves only introduce problems.

to each is to there own, but I wouldn't want to attract unwanted attention every time I come off of boost. The "racers" think my 335i is just another slow bmw. So I don't get fart canned everyday.

^^True, I had the AA BOV for about 3 months. The first time 2 16 year olds pulled up b/c they had heard the 'psssh' from when I shifted in the other lane and pulled up, asked me to keep making the pssh sound, is when I removed it and put it up for sale the next day....

That's a bit ignorant. Just because this isn't JDM doesn't someone can't have a BOV. It's the OP's car and if he just wants some info on the BOVs, well let him have it. Don't go bashing other manufacturers.

OP - there have been issues with the BOVs, and the other option currently available are forged DVs.

You can search through the forums and find the threads.

If your into BOV's thats cool, I have the Synapse one on my car and I enjoy the sound. As for your question, I think you will be fine going with the UR pipe.

Try it out, if you dont like it, take it off and sell it. Ebay is great!

I have the UR with the tial BOV and I haven't had any problems with it. No problems with fitmant or anything, you should be fine with it. Good luck with whatever you decide on. It's your car so if you want it get it.

Helix just released their direct bolt in BOV kit featuring ultra quality Turbosmart BOV's and CNC adaptors. installs directly in the factory charge pipe and sounds great! the Helix BOV causes absolutely no driveability issues as this is a map sensor vehicle.

A lot of these comments are so close minded. BOVs have been in use for years its not just a jdm thing. High horsepower cars use them all the time, now its time to put it on a BMW & now its not good enough. Also the N54 is map based so a BOV is not gonna do anything bad but make the sound. This has been discussed plenty of times before if it causes problems or not, so please stop giving out bad advice before you confuse new posters.

A BOV just gives you the sound, but if you're going to get a BOV, get something that at least recirculates.
Now, those of you who can tune by yourself, or have ability to adjust your fuel maps, you can run VTA and add/remove fuel as needed, during shifts, etc. This is how we did it in the Mazdaspeed 3/6 community and worked out great for those who wanted to run VTA.

Now, CP-E is a great company, I've dealt with them for 5 years now, and even was a reseller for for a while. Their prices are competitive, but they do EVERYTHING in house, by themselves. Customer service is tip notch, and quality of products is what you pay for, sometimes a bit too high, but its CP-E.

Cp-E would not make a BOV kit if they felt the car didn't need one. They do a lot of research, take forever to manufacture parts, largely because they DO the research and make sure everything is perfect. I love Cp-E, I have their tuning management in my Mazdaspeed 6, and they are developing one for the N54 platform as well. However, their price on the hard pipe is well too high.

To answer the OP's question...
get the UR pipe and the Tial or HKS BOV. That is what I will be doing.
