What did you pay for a brand new 325i sedan?

Hi all,

I wanted to work out how much depreciation a 3 year old 325i has so I know what to expect when I go and sell my 328i F30 in a few years time.

Anyone here who bought a 325i Sedan with a decent list of options including M Sport package, Xenon lights, navigation upgrade and so on. What was the final drive away price after haggling?

Thanks.

Thanks but I'm looking for what people ACTUALLY paid for their car from the dealership brand new. i.e. Car might be worth $90k when you add up all of the options, taxes and dealer delivery but might only be $82k after nego.

I think asking what people paid drive away is a semi personal thing which they may or may not want to share?

Figure out your discount off RRP

apply that discount to RRP of an E90 325i

In 2010 BMW dropped the list price of 325i from 75k to 69k IIRC. Not a great thing to happen for owners of existing vehicles .

Hi

I thought they did that in 2011 in anticipation of the release of the F30??

When I purchased my new 325i Sports Innovations in December 2010, I was very fortunate that BMW had a deal offering the full factory M Sports upgrade for free which saved around $10K. I was also able to get metallic paint, European number plates, BMW golf bag, OEM car cover etc. thrown in for free. I wouldn’t expect to see that type of deal again in a hurry especially with the new model still fresh.

I am not sure there would be the comparison you are after available except for a base model???

I understand what you are trying to do but your logic is wrong. The correlation between the models and price (new and used) is too elastic to measure with any sort of confidence.

Thanks all for your responses.

I guess it isn't the most scientific way of figuring a Bimmer's rate of depreciation. May I rephrase the question:

Who knows what the average depreciation is for a 3 series sedan w/ M Sport. Do they depreciate at the same rate as a normal vehicle, say 30% after 3 years (average km and good condition etc) or do they hold their value a bit better. Any references would great.

Redbook is crap. There's very little correlation between real world prices and what they list there.

How much will your car depreciate? A lot.

How much should you sell your car for when the time comes? You'll have to compare what other people are selling their cars for taking into account kms and options.

What you're trying to work out is pointless.
