non stock 16?
my car was hit and three of the four wheels have to be replaced anyway so an upgrade would not be very expensive. any standard size 16 wheels that are better than stock that people would recommend? I know most people go bigger but I don't want to pay for new tires, I am just doing upgrades that are nearly free since my car has to be fixed anyway and I only have to pay the difference.

personally I like the stock wheels... I wouldn't put your own money into the car because of the accident

see what the cost difference for 161s or 159s....162s are too much of a difference I think.

well if you're thinking of 16" OEMs, trust me the 156s are better looking than the 155 and the 154

one is flat for sure from the initial estimate, if they have to replace 3 or more I'll definitly go for 17" otherwise I'm sticking to 16"

when it comes to tires, better safe than sorry. Have them check the tires out thoroughly. Do you have tire/wheel insurance as well?

As to finding BMW wheels, I like this site: http://felgenkatalog.auto-treff.com/ It's not english, but the menus and searching are pretty obvious. --gos

btw, my fav's are the style 50 in a 16x7 (which matches your original size) ... no idea where you'd actually buy them though

There seems to be very few aftermarket 16's for the E90 - Tire Rack lists only 5 wheels and none of them look all that attractive.
You might want to check them out or Discount Tire's offerings, but there may not be many. May be a better plan to buy used 156's in the Marketplace here. |
