Bought blacklines, can't get those plugs to come out

Im trying to install my blacklines but the damn plugs won't come out.
i've broken 2 so far, and gotten 1 successfully out. (the plugs on the top of the inside of the trunk)
Is there a trick im missing? all the diy guides say that you can simply take them out with a screw driver and then popping them out with your hands. but it just won't work damn it...

I used nylon prying tools when I installed mine. When pulling them out, I used two tools to pry on each side and pull it it out using both tools while holding on the plug with my thumbs (so that I don't get in the face when plug pops out).

aren't those the ones that you have to pull up the center portion first (sorta like a pin), then it comes out easy.

Pliers - carefully grab hold of them and pry them out - solved!

I feel like I learned the trick, I just can't remember. lol

I think you pull it out a little, twist, then pull it completely out or something. The end that's in the liner itself will close in and allow you to remove it easily.

I just push them back with a flat head... weren't that difficult...

I got so frustrated trying to pop them that i forced them open. broke 2 of the 4 plugs.
