Painting the RE IKON Muffler
For those of you that painted the Ikon Muffler, was there anything special you did before painting it? Prime and then use the high temp black?
I'm not big on the way it hangs a little low on the left and want to reduce the sight of it. Thanks for the assist, guys, gals.

use brake cleaner to clean it. make sure you do this in a well ventilated area as the fumes from this stuff is pretty bad.
mask off stuff you don't want painted (i.e. tips). i used black duplicolor high heat with ceramic paint: http://www.duplicolor.com/products/engine.html
