abhishriv, I sold my 335i last November and bought an M3. I sold the 335i to a friend of mine and he is still enjoying it. I second what DaFish said. The LSD is a very valuable mod and there have been no troubles with the WaveTrac. My friend drives a lot more than I do, so it probably has 15 or 20k miles at this point.

Make sure if you go Redline that its the 75W90NS, you don't want any lubrication additives with these gear type LSD's. The Redline fluid is very recommended.

Get two quarts, or a gallon jug if you like....you will need a transfer pump with the diff. either mounted in the car or on level ground. Then just fill until it starts pouring out the fill/drain hole.

OP is going to install an LSD, so oil will be removed when he halves the case. Just pour it in after the swap and drain with the unit leveled.

got it installed yesterday and picked it up today! wow my car feels so much more planted! i kept reading about it in other people reviews but experiencing it is amazing. and what a day to get it installed. it snowed a couple inches on the way back home. so i really got to see the difference between my open diff and the LSD. a lot more fun too! when traction gives out though the whole rear end steps out but it doesnt surprise you and the car is really controllable. should have done this sooner!!

It is an absolute blast isn't it !! I love mine.

There is a CLUNK when you put it in first (6MT) from a stand still... but other than that, it is perfect.

Wait until you can get in the dry roads and power out of a round about, or a corner. You won't believe how much nice the car corners, and how fast it is out of a corner now.

I practise trying to get the turbos to spool mid corner (1 or 2 seconds before apex), so when I am at the apex, the blowers kick in, the power and TQ kick in at the apex and the LSD then powers me out of the corner at almost full power. I could do that all day ! Before the LSD, you would have NOTHING but a traction control light....

You are really going to love this.

I felt the same way after I installed my LSD. Power mods certainly are grin-inducing, but looking back, a LSD should have been the very first thing I did to my 335i; it totally transformed the car for me.

I loved reading your initial reaction to the diff! It makes me feel even better about getting my quaife installed in my 6MT 135 on Monday, I'm also going ahead with replacing my rear sub frame bushings with m3 bushings, I heard its one of the many suspension mods to help with wheel hop

Differential lockdown does the most for wheel hop, but does cost a pretty penny. I am doing both to get rid of it and probably DSS axles.

I'm anxious to see how nicely your car performs once you're finally done with it! You have quite the list of mods!

wish I would have had a Wavetrac today, got on it bit and there must have been oil or something in the street car just went sideways...went into the neighbors yard (car felt like it was on ice) hit very small curb wich is very rounded not a typical square curb...no damage but the rim is bit scratched on the inside. Wouldn't have happened with a Wavetrac I don't believe. There is small vibration in the front but It probably just needs to be re-aligned
