Bilstein UK B12 kit for E90 335i - what is the correct lowering amount?

HI all

am about to order a Bilstein B12 lowering kit from the UK. But I'm confused about the lowering amount. Part number 46-180568

All retailers, like Demon*****, Lark****, etc, show the kit as 30mm front lowering and 25 mm rear lowering.

But, I just checked the Bilstein online catalog, and for the same kit it shows 20mm front and no lowering at the rear!

http://web1.carparts-cat.com/default...04&14=4&12=130

That's so disappointing and confusing. I need the 30/25 lowering.

Does anyone know for sure before i place the order?

thank you

The B12 kit only lowers a stock M Sport by a few mm front and rear - assuming you replace top mounts and upper and lower spring pads, which should always be the case. Therefore an SE car will land at around M Sport or a few mm lower with this kit.

Finally rang Bilstein in the UK, as well as Demon Tweeks. Also emailed Bilstein Germany. They all came back to say they could only 'guarantee' a 20mm front drop and 0mm rear drop on a non-M-Sport E90 335i.

What's the point of spending so much money on that?

Finally decided to get an ST X coilover kit instead.

It isn't just about the lowering. It's about the quality of the components, ride, handling, and longevity. If lowering is your primary concern then you have probably made a good choice.

You certainly get a hefty drop at the rear with the B12 kit, at least on my SE (non M-Sport) 330i.

I was hoping for the drop all around on the Bilstein B12, but when Bilstein Germany themselves emailed me to say "revised information shows 20mm drop at front and 0mm at rear", I couldn't take the risk and then find I didn't get any drop

They confirmed that no change had been made to the kit.

IIRC the drop figures are compared to SE suspension, not M Sport.
