57 Plate 335D E91 Ti

24,000 on the clock.

Any idea what it's worth private and trade in?

(needs the alloys furbed and two scratches taken out the front wheel arches - shopping trolley one each side, but i'll get these done)

I could go by the book but i know when i bought it prices were all over the place due to supply/demand. Just wondering if anyone's got any firm ideas.

Sorry if this is a stupid question

Whats the spec?

A 57plate 24k E91 335d M Sport is £22k top book as a trade in according to Glasses - this probably assumes it has Media.

Cheers....it has some scratches. Deep one from a metal bin that blew into it on one side and what i guessing is a shopping trolley on the other side that need fixed...and the wheels refurbed (a few kerbings).

I'll send the guy photos of the damage and see if £20k stands. Will probably cost me best part of £1k to fix as i don't know any body shops.

Does it have BT too, or just Nav? BT is a ££££ to retrofit, and many buyers will look for it. Assume it has leather too?

Bluetooth and Leather.

I'm not sure what was standard! So i'll list some stuff Xenons, Cruise Control, Voice Recognition. heated Seats. Some old Phone like a Nokia 6010 holder (although i've removed it). Can cooler thingy (that's where the money is at!).Rear-view mirror - auto dimming , Rain sensor with auto. headlight activation. Parking sensors front and back

No USB. No sunroof.

Hope that covers things...sorry for being crap!

I think you've got all the most important options - it should a good buy and potentially good stock for a dealer. I'd ring a few dealers around the country (make sure to inc. London) and see what the best price you can get is. In my experience you can usually better the first price you get by £500-£1000, if you find a dealer who fancies it for stock (and they are quite rare) - the big players will collect nationwide.

I think that you will get more if you sell the car privately the dealer will knock about 1k or 2 off your asking price

Has to be at least £21k - low mileage, nice spec, easily shiftable colour. It might actually work out better to sell to a stealer and not worry about sorting the minor dings - they'll "prepare" it anyway.

Cheers for the advice There are a few AUC's in London i like. I drove from Glasgow to Cornwall for the 335D so don't mind London - good excuse to visit pals/family.

Okay - i'm gonna get a quote for the fix and take it from there. But not a bad idea.

I know how desirable the car is, as i went to Cornwall to get it from Glasgow and i have had plenty of people in Glasgow ask me where i got it from as they are rare as hens teeth in Scotland. So we'll see

My last BMW was keyed above the rear wheel arch, being 3dr it needed the whole panel spraying and blown in, they charged me £250 inc vat. BMW quoted £1140 to do it.

Get the work done before selling it.

+1. I agree, much easier that way. Get it done properly, but no need to spend a fortune.

Mister - you drove down here to Cornwall?! I had to get mine from flipping Leicester! They delivered it though!

They are quite rare(ish) in E91 form.

Will - you have a T5 180PS van then?!

Yeh i was searching for about 4 months for one with Parking Sensors F&R, and Pro Nav, leather etc. and eventually found one on http://www.castlemotors.com/ You can imagine my initial thoughts when i realised where it was! There were a few on bmw.co.uk but they customer service was rubbish. I guess they knew they could sell them quite easily to someone walking in, rather than deal with a guy couple of hundred miles away. But credit to Castle Motors they were great to deal with

Lovely part of the world and enjoyed the drive down in the S3 and the drive back in the 335D.

My wife's grandparents use Castle Motors to get all their cars (almost always big posh kit!) They are very good but had no 335ds when I called them.

The poor guy that delivered my 335d had to drive back in my four year old Astra Estate (1.9CDTi 150) and had someone crash into the back of him on the way back - doh!

I had slightly unique search criteria for mine - had to have a sunroof, had to have leather but also wanted no i-drive and was after an SE.
