What were you hoping for Dario ? you might get 18Kish with a private sale, no leather or Nav and slightly high mileage is the killer.

ERR yes!

given that its a business funded car (they pay me to make the repayments) i opted to add another £100 a month to the bill to get the car i wanted. so the settlement is £27.8k 2.5 years early.

no pressure to sell, just had a good idea about changing it out for an E70 X5 then i could sell my X5 and have one car less in the fleet.

it was a shock, no wonder they recomend having gap insurance if you write the thing off as that one BIG gap to fill!

it did rather turn me in to a jibbering idiot.

oh well i'll stay as i am, its the only way to go.

PS i was trying to reduce the size of the fleet as i need to get my daughter in to a car, and the cost of the insurance was frightening me!

so its a 4th car now as its the cheapest option, go figure!

Dario

I've found that dealers only seem to give joke valuations, I've never had a respectable one. I imagine this is because they aren't interested in the hassle unless there's a big juicy profit to be made.

As an example, I was once offered £15k by BMW for a 2003 545i (this was in 2005), and I sold it for 23k two weeks later. Yes, they're taking the piss, but if you're stupid enough to take their offer, good luck to them. Caveat Emptor and all that...

Dario, sorry to hear on the shocking offer.

Keep the bad boy and treat her to a re-map. Be like a new car again with 60bhp more.

Bus pass is cheaper than insurance.

They bimmers do drop lots, most over half, in their first year or so.

What car verdict...

http://www.whatcar.com/valuation-sum...67900&ML=43000

It is a gutter and seems wrong, unless you buy second hand of course.

Interesting massacre of the English language. I think what you're trying to convey is that dealers are shafting us on prices. Yep, that's what they do and who can blame them. It's their job. If they had brains they'd be bankers!

Think the milage is also a big factor in the price, not just the low spec.

Well for now, sign up for the Evolve switchable remap group buy) - so if you do sell you can just un-load map and re-use

I think at the moment, just don't even think of resale. I agree with everyone who says treat her to a remap and if your spending the greens, then a nice detail job.

I'm on a PCP and i'm already over my mileage however one of those things and at the moment everything is up in the air with financial markets etc etc.

You've got a nice car

Try and get a few mores quotes - I ended up getting 10 of them, worse was 19k!!!

I think its the lack of nav and leather and mileage that might hurt it a bit. I sold my 335i m sport with nav and leather (13k miles) 2007. with nav, leather, auto etc to a stealer that seemed desperate to get it for 23.5 earlier this month. it cost 40k ish in may 07 however could have gotten 26 private i think - but hassle! notice its at dealer now for £27850!

heresa glass valution for your car (fantastic car BTW)

as I said
my dealer has offered me £3k more now since the last offer 4 months ago, I dont have to buy another car off him and I have done a load more miles.
They are really short of bigger diesels.
I am already down for the Evolve group buy and cant wait.
As I do a few miles a week (600) what else could I possibly buy that would keep me so entertained for such money, bearing in mind it must have four seats and somewhere to put a dog and a towbar for watersports which is why I chose the BM over a S or RS Audi due to not being able to have a towbar.
I am sorry if my English is poor for I am but a lowly Pompey supporter.
