front wheel bearing
For over 9 months, my driver's side front wheel was noisy... I was told it is due to improper alignment, which is a result of having my KW V1's... Mind you, this was looked after a BMW dealership.... They even claimed to have checked my bearings, and told me it was fine.
Complete BS. After changing my front bearing (thanks Ivo !) my car is finally quiet. So - if you are getting a lot of noise, this could be it... Bearing was most likely damaged due to potholes I've hit over the past year or so... |

What were your symptoms? I've had this humming/whirring sound from the front end at higher speeds ever since my car was lowered. Its pretty consistent regardless of whether I am cornering or going in a straight line.
Roughly how much did it cost to replace? |

It was a humming noise, and it kept getting worse at higher speeds....
Parts were bought at ECS Tuning, and for my XI model - it was about $180/side, part numbers : 31206751740 31206768993 31226783913 33411133785 33411133785 You need to add another 1.5 - 2 hours or so per side for labor. |
