Dark rims

I've just had my MV3s refurbished in anthracite grey. I think it completes the 'dark' look along with the gloss black grills and shadow-line trim around the windows.

I was never really happy with the silver 17's but the 18" give a good balance without going too far. I want my car to be individual without looking like I've just ram raided halfords!

Snap! I think the darker alloys look superb.

But I would say that

I've been thinking of getting my MV3s done in anthracite grey. I'm officially convinced, they both look great.

Where can I have this done? And how much should I expect to pay?

They both look great-certainly a cheaper option to a new set.
Always looking for ideas for my E91-Rich-that looks very stealth-like!

Thanks for all the comments, I'm really happy with the results. I've had anthracite wheels on previous silver cars before and really liked it but I wasn't sure about it with blue until I saw the finished results on the car!
The refurb and respray is around £40 per wheel I think ( I got 'mates rates' as I know the owner of the body shop so paid a lot less!). They weren't in bad condition to start with though, just a few scuffs and a little bubbling on one near the valve.
In answer to dirtydarthdub I had the paint machine buffed and then a couple of coats of carnuba wax applied a few weeks ago and it's just been washed with autoglym shampoo since.
Rich1068 is your E91 montego blue or is just the lighting in the picture as it looks a little darker than the le mans on mine? Either way, it looks great!

Sliver E90 with dark alloys

Hi
I am getting my wheels refurbed on Tuesday next week, and wondered if there were any silver cars with these wheels fitted. Should I go grey or stick to silver? I like how the silver can look really shiney looking through the alloy, where as the grey may look like they need a wash!
I had grey alloys on mini cooper S GP, but unsure how it would look on my silver!
Cheers
Raymond

I had a silver civic type R a few years ago and the wheels on that were metallic anthracite. I think they looked a lot better than the silver as they gave more of a contrast against the silver body work. With them being metllic they looked great when the car was clean and the sun was out - no mistaking them for wheels covered in brake dust!

It's the lighting. It poured it down about 5 minutes after the pictures were taken. And you'll have seen this too but LMB seems different every time you look at it. Superb colour and I'm really glad I made the break from black.

It's true. A Le Mans Blue 320d will easily out perform a 330d in black or silver. Space Grey is the slowest colour I believe.

I love LMB Had an LMB e92 335i for 4 years.

Resurrecing an old thread here -

I'm getting my mv3 refurbed soon and looking for an anthracite thats not to dark, doesn't look like brake dust - have you got a paint code or colour name etc as those look spot on?

The anthracite wheel colour that BMW use on the Sport plus is called Ferric Grey.
