SSK install last night

Well me and Sally boy (AutoCouture) installed a short shift kit in his 335 last night....first we had to get different ramps cuz his were hitting his front lips...then the damn C clip was a bitch to get to and get off....then following a DIY it said to turn CCW but we were supposed to turn CW. anyway it took about 2 hrs give or take BSing around. but it came out great and the shifts are nice and crisp.

awesome knob.... midnight mall mechanics FTW...hehe sometimes we do stuff in the palisades underground in the winter... nice and warm and good lighting hehe

Man, your shift knob is sitting really low! Agreed, that clip is a pain to maneuver out.

I also installed the ssk and cdv the same time, it definitely makes a hell of a difference. The best part is... combined they cost under 100.

Has anyone done the SSK install for an XI? I heard there are issues with trying to get to the C Clip. I was debating between the SSK versus just getting the shorter sport knob. If I can install the SSK myself easily into my XI, then I'd go that route.
