Attending roll-on accelleration event - I'd like your input

Hey guys,

So I'm attending a private track event (Willow Springs - 2,500 ft elevation) in two weeks where part of the day will be dedicated to a head-to-head roll-on acceleration event. Here's the list of participants: http://shift-s3ctor.com/?page_id=7

I'd like the represent the n54's as best as possible. My current mods are as follows:

Proceed v2.5 with 10-18 stage 2 aggressive maps (standard settings)
Vishnu PWM Methanol kit running boost juice (51/49 meth/water)
Vishnu DCI
Riss Racing catless downpipes.

I will also be running a blend of 91 and 100 octane gasoline.

Aside from buying any more mods, is there any easy fixes to ensure optimal performance, i.e. changing any Proceed map settings, running a certain mix of 91/race gas, or higher meth/water mix? I live at sea level and am not sure what if anything, a 2,500 foot elevation change will do.

Thanks.

Don't run boost juice. But rather an 80/20 meth/water mix.

You should ask Vishnu if there is anything you can tweak on Stage 2. You would like need to send them a log first. 3rd gear to 4th.

Edit- he beat me.

Looking at most of the cars on that list, you may want to spray a little

JK, good luck it sounds like a fun event, I've attended events similar to this before and they were a blast. Choose your opponents wisely; that's how I won my class once.

Hi Jeff, I figured that a log wouldn't help since I haven't changed any of the standard Proceed settings and also a log at sea level may look much different than a log at 2,500 feet. I'm sure the Proceed compensates for this but perhaps a higher initial boost setting may help?

Yeah I sanbagged and estimated HP at 430. The reality with race gas and those mods I'm probably real close to 430 RWHP at sea level. Being at 2,500 feet will likely hurt the NA cars quite a bit as well...so running any NA car at or near 430 HP would be completely unfair.

I want to run one of the stock/mild GTR's, but I imagine everyone else will want to as well.

OP, after the recomendations above your best bet is to take some logs of timing in the configuration you are planning to run just to confirm that all is well. Then if you decide to try some small parameter variations, log again and compare results. Using setup approach/paramters from others on the forum is a great way to get "into the ballpark", but to really optimize your car in your environment, you need to log

Shiv would know better then me. I'm more curious about this event is it just a straight shot from A to B or are you going around the course?

Sorry for not specifying...yeah the roll-on acceleration event is a straight shot from A to B on the long straight at Willow Springs. I think the straight is nearly one mile.

Earlier in the day we will going around the course.

Thanks. What about mixing VP M1 with boost juice...say 50% M1 and 50% boost juice (which is about 50/50 meth/water)...so I'd end up somewhere near 75/25. Anyone do this?

^ Boost Juice is too expensive to do that.....just use distilled water.

Please do and video tape if possible. Current attitude of this board is that those things are unsurmountable monsters not to dare be messed with...

Your point is well taken, however I have an oversupply of boost juice in my garage and so as long as mixing it with M1 is not bad, then that's probably what I will do.

Who is Michael (#14 on the list)? He sounds like he has upped twins or maybe the 490 is an estimated bhp?

These actions are more effective for 1/4mile than 60mph roll on event (assuming thats the format of the OPs event)
