Here is the video for the 335i muffler mod. Pretty close to reality. Bit crispier in real life.
Enjoy! oh yes left side valve is open on these videos, naturally. I ran with map5 + 30% ethanol mixture. |

I'm thinking about doing the left side with a straight pipe. And then use the exhaust flapper open or closed to be quite or loud.. Just have to hook a switch to the wires in the trunk. |

No drone, when you do higher speeds = higher revs the noise ofcourse a bit increase, but then wheels/wind will noise will increase also. Not an issue. Like I said earlier, honestly, maybe cover 75% of the pipe with holes. But thats just my opinion. |

This sounds awesome, I think it's mainly due to the catless dp.

Anything catless would smell terrible if your stuck in traffic. I had a catless WRX before and I wouldn't wanna go catless anymore just because of the traffic jams during peak hours !

Sounds great. However I wonder how it would sound with resonators in place of secondary cats with this setup. I still hear a bit of rasp halfway through the video when you change camera angles to the side view. Nonetheless wot sounds amazing.

Picked up a stock exhaust from one of the members locally. I started with cutting the drivers side top half off. Opened the resonator chamber a put a 2.5inch piper around the perforated one. Closed it all up and welded shut.
Installed it on the car drove around for 1.5day and decided that i was going to do the other side for 50% since there was totally no drone. As you can see in the pictures the perforated pipe on the passenger side is only covered for 50%. To me it sounds amazing and absolutely no drone whatsoever i am very sensitive to drone. Remember this is not the same a muffler delete. There is still a pipe connected between the left and the right muffler. With the windows up i can hardly hear the difference. As far is i can judge from the YouTube videos that are recorded from inside the cabin with the windows down it sounds the same or very very similar. In the next days i will make a sound/video clip. (first time welding so be easy on me! 90dollar welder from harbor freight) |

What size of a pipe did you use? 60mm? I noticed that it doesn't completely cover it. Would a 65mm fit better?
