Having trouble adjusting H&R coilovers to raise it up higher.
I got them installed at a shop a few days ago but its too low.
I'm trying to raise the rear of my car up. I have not yet tried to raise the front. So far I have been stumped to no avail. I have tried turning the collar on the bottom with the H&R wrench. I have tried turning the bottom with the hex key. I just don't understand how this works. I have also checked out the bottom of this page from the H&R website and it is quite vague and I still don't get it. http://www.hrsprings.com/site/products/coilovers.html Can anyone help me? Thanks As you can see it is far too low

I got the same on my car.
The easiest way is to fix this problem is to get a more aggresive camber. That should do the trick. I notice that you still got alot to go on the third picture. It shows the adjusterble screw. Turn it all the way to the bottom and it should raise the car. You said that you've already done it? please take a new picture! An alternative is to buy H&R Racing springs which I got. They're a bit stiffer then the ones which come with the kit. Anyway I think you should go back you the workshop and have they fix the problem. 19X10 is a bit much really! Good luck! |

A local shop did it, I'm going to get the car raised up and the fenders rolled. I might need to buy skinnier tires 235 / 265 to replace the 245 / 275 which are on right now.

You have to turn the other part of the adjustable bolts that is underneath the spring it self down i am pretty sure looking at your photos.

make sure that when you are turning the spring perch, that the collar isn't turning with it. Otherwise, its an exercise in futility.
