Ksport makes a cheaper kit, brembo I have some great pricing on and isnt as bad as you might think.

Stoptech also makes a kit for us.

Why would you want the cheapest big brake kit? Nothing like trying to kill yourself to save money. There is some cheap shit out there. I think you want the most cost effective, not the cheapest.

The BMW PBK is bigger on the front from the OEM on the 330i and the same on the rear. The fronts are 6 piston where the rears are 2 pistons.

These do not work on the 335i FYI.

Big Brake Kits give your vehicle that Supercar look and feel, and exceed stock performance in two areas. First, larger rotors increase heat capacity. Second, stiffer calipers and stainless steel lines reduce system compliance.

The key, however, is to increase heat capacity and reduce compliance without upsetting the stock front to rear brake torque ratio. If the brake upgrade you select adds too much front torque (as many do), you reduce your car's ability to utilize the tractive capacity of all of the tires to the maximum practical extent (even on ABS equipped cars) and you therefore create performance sacrifices. In addition, too many pistons or pistons that are too large will make the brake pedal much more difficult to modulate, which limits a driver's control of brake input on the race track.

If you're looking for the most cost effective big brake kit system I would recommend that you check out the StopTech BBK. I'll shoot you over a PM with more details! Here are some pictures of the kits as requested.

What makes Brembo "the best?" Is it because someone tells you that they're the best? Or do you actually have some tangible data to back that up?

Brembo may have the biggest "market-share" (but that can certainly be argued) and they're used by a lot of OEM, but if we're to go by who uses what, ATE is actually a bigger supplier of OEM calipers for our beloved German vehicles than Brembo, and SSBC a bigger OEM supplier overall (if I recall). In fact, if you want to go by size, Centric, the owner of StopTech, dwarfs Brembo's OEM operation.

In the upper echelon of "big brake kits," there really isn't any significant difference in who's BETTER except there are certain features that one does better than the other. For example, since Brembo calipers are widely used, pad material choices are better on Brembo fixed calipers. There are certain things that Rotora and StopTECH engineer that is better than Brembo and you aren't paying for the "brand marketing" that goes with Brembo. AP Racing also has great offerings that are superior for high performance applications. But is one better or "best" out of the bunch? It depends on what you need and what you want to apply it to. In my not so humble opinion, NONE of these are really what you need for a car that never sees any action on the hot side of the pit lane. Yet they're bought and used for more street only cars than track use.

If there is one area you don't want to "cheap out" is brakes. You NEVER want to "put something together" using parts from different companies. These things are engineered to work with the car and make sure it's balanced and works properly.
That being said, I'm running Stoptech. They work great on the street and even better on the track with track compound pads. It takes me about 5 minutes per wheel to change the pads (literally).

Well said HACK, - this past weekend I had installed a set of Rotora 6 front, 4 piston rear.

Sure some may say this or that about the brand name, but in actuality the amount of true track time most of these kits will see will be limited. I'll admit, my car will little track time and the kit I installed so far has been great. They definitely look killer!
