Question People w 330d e9x - problem report?

Would owners of 330d in e90/e91 share how reliable that engine has been, esp on higher mile cars ca 100k miles and up?

What went wrong?
What one should expect to fix?

Tinking of buying one with m57 engine, 170kw and need to weigh in repair costs.

Do turbos and glow plugs go at ca 150-200k?
Swirlflaps?
Anything else?

There is no set specific time that you can expect a component to go. Can be as little at 15k or 100k.

What would be more beneficial would be to find out, what work the car has had done so far, what parts have been changed, and also try to gauge how its been driven. Most importantly what condition it is in now.

Best of luck.

2 cracked alloys. Ridiculous approach in uk to them only being replaced if crack is less than 2mm. Spoiled ownership for me totally. I couldnt afford to pay £400 for an alloy and also pay for a new tyre (it was required once) every couple of months.

Other than that it was a great car.
