Question OEM Sport Package Springs vs. H&R Sport

What's the difference (performance or ride height) between the two? I just ordered a set of 18" wheels from tirerack and was wondering if H&R's would make a difference.

Thanks

Louie

That can't be true, I just lowered my car with h&r sport and i have an e92, which comes with sport suspension, and its lowered, definitely!

At least an 3/4 of an inch up front and 1/2 inch in back, and i am still waiting for the springs to settle, it might lower a wee bit more...

I heard this first hand from the folks at TireRack. When I inquired about the drop vs. OEM sport suspension for H&R Sport, Nate (my sales rep) said their product data indicates there is "minimal difference".

Definitely not true. I went from OEM sport to H&R sport....definitely much lower all around!

Very cool pics... Thanks for the comparison.
Just one question... Why are there 5 people in your car in the after photo? (just joking).

Yea, there is minimal difference, in it wont like "slam" the car right the ground, if you want a more aggressive drop, you need to get some h&r race springs, sport springs should at least lower your car by 1/2 inch if not a little bit more

I just got back from picking my car up. Had H&R sport springs installed... there is now way I would want to go any lower. Anything more and it would start to look ricey... the H&R sport drop looks sweet on an e92... and they drive really well with the OEM shocks too. Handling was definitely tightened up a bit.

Yep, the car definitly feels tighter and smoother over smooth surfaces, but on rougher roads, it can get a little bumpy, but i like the setup, its stiff, but its not too harsh and yes, the look is awesome

I am thinking about this setup with my 335, also. How is the feel? More to the point, is my wife going to refuse to get in my car because of the rough ride? I really like the ride as it is stock but would like to a)tighten it up just a bit, and, b)give it just a bit more aggressive look with slight lowering...Are the H&R sports what I am looking for?

.

I had H&R sports installed several days ago on my e92. Total drop was 3/4" in the rear and 1 1/4 " in the front. Looks perfect.

thats a cool morph, but its not very accurate. The first pic shows the car on an angle that lifts one side, so the car looks much higher with zsp that it is.

That morpheus program is pretty fun. The problem with my before/after photos is that they were taken with different cameras with different amounts of lens zoom. Photo perspectives are not quite 1:1.
