E92 M3 Transmission whine
Hi all,
Under acceleration i can hear what can best describe as 'transmission whine', it's quite distracting and am worried it's a fault diff or gearbox. It increases in amplitude the higher the rev range in each gear. Also i have noticed there is a 'clunk' through the chassis when changing gear sometimes... I have a 27k miles manual E92 M3. I have tried to search for this but cannot find anything yet. Many thanks |

posting a video might help people get a better idea of what the sounds are.. But it doesnt sound too bad to me. M3s might have more square gear profiles and that would make a noise
