Anybody have a 2011 TSX wagon?

I'm curious about your thoughts of the car. I'm looking at a new daily driver.

i actually think the tsx wagon looks great!
-however, i do think the 3 series is already a daily driver, and i can't see a reason for buying another car in a similar segment.

If you are buying it to replace your 335ix it will feel real slow. For your wife or something it's not a bad second car.

Motor Trend, too.

So far the reports are good and the automotive press seems to like it a lot. There will be around 4000 available for the US market. It's an upscale version of the Euro Honda Accord wagon.

I like it personally. MT says it handles quite well. Sure it's got a small motor but the mpg is very good and around town and once out cruising on the freeway, it doesn't matter if it's not that quick. It would make a good daily.

It's a great choice for a wagon that will be RELIABLE. Kudos to Acura for bringing it to the US.

I love his suggestions, and I would love a manual. This links that article...

A full EPA test wouldn't be necessary for the TSX wagon version. This is just a marketing decision on Honda's part.

I had an '04 TSX that was, hands-down absolutely the most reliable car I've ever owned. Unfortunately, Honda's decision about transmissions eliminates the TSX wagon from my consideration.

Yeah - I saw that. I'm looking for something reliable to cart bikes around in (so they can stay locked up overnight on the road and with a decent dealership experience.

A drove a 04 TSX for five years it it was actually, hands-down, the least reliable car I've ever owned. Nothing wrong with the engine but I had issues with the center stack going out twice, 3 power window regulators failing and the AC unit dieing. All of those items were very common issues on 04s. The two audis i've owned subsequently have been problem free.

I think my biggest issue with the TSX has been the lack of technology with the engine and transmissions and the fact that the MPG weren't as good as they should have been owing to the fact the car was a bit heavy for the 2.4. They should have put the 4 cylinder turbo from the RDX into it! If they had made a turbo/AWD tsx I would have probably not moved from acura.

You must not have had many cars if these were the biggest problems you've had in five years.

I was considering this wagon, I wanted to have the ability to lock up my road bikes inside, price is reasonable 33k or so compared to the 328 Touring and the A4 Avant which both are well in the mid 40's tho they are much more fun to drive than the TSX wagon. But overall you cant go wrong with a "Honda" for daily driver.
I did not buy the TSX cuz' my wife hates wagons. I am happy with my 2011 135i DCT

Ill consider myself lucky then! I've only had 4 cars in my life! Of the three "new" cars it was definitely the most problematic.

I know audi gets a bad rap for reliability but my 3 years with my Audi TT 2.0t and my first year with my 2011 S4 have been smooth sailing.

I don't mean to bash the acura product in anyway. I'm sure most of the issues that were common back then are fixed now and or not a problem with the newest gen. I just wish they would be putting more more money into new engine tech!
