Guys - its a 6AT, how much work is it?

I met SIKH335, I know he owns and runs several businesses ... my guess, he's too busy to run the car and the car was run by FFTEC.

FWIW BMS holds the stock turbo record at 11.2 seconds.

no offense intended, but even 6AT takes someone with skill to launch consistently. Almost every N54 6AT that runs at our track here cuts high 1.9s (a good 60ft it seems) to 2.2+ 60fts on street tires. It took a lot of work to cut 1.7x to 1.8x 60fts consistently on street tires with an open diff.

Now for roll races, yes its all pretty irrelevant

I would humbly disagree. 6ATs are easy. (I have one, well actually two).

Here's my method for cutting 1.6x 60's consistently:
- Kosei K-1 wheels
- MT ET or Hoosier DR tires
- 17-19 PSI tire pressure depending on track conditions
- Do a decent smokey
- Brake Boost Launch in M1
- Don't bounce the rev limiter (this is something you need to pay attention to that for the 1-2 and 2-3 shifts)

yea "easier" with DRs of course. But if 6ATs were "easy" more guys would cut 1.7-1.8 on street tires consistently.

But again for you its easy yes, for me its easy yes. We both likely have a lot of drag strip experience.

Sikh, cupertino, and me still own 3 of the fastest 335s out there, whether we drive them at all times or not. All this "racing my own horse" talk is just childish. Quit it.

I noticed a single turbo car is for sale now. I wonder if this has anything to do with the transmission problems during the runway race? A high performance transmission rebuild does not sound cheap!

Good luck when you can manage the time to see what she does.
You should ask him if HE personally ran that time, or another driver did....
That's a known fact Sean at Fftec was driving the car. He is about 100lbs lighter than me.

For everyone hating on me about not piloting my car when the record was broken. Terry was not piloting his car when the above mentioned run was done either. That was Hotrod who ran that time in Terry's car.

smi the shit talking was unwarranted as I own the car and will run it as I see fit. Don't be hurt if someone does not give you the info that you feel you somehow deserve because you are a member of the BMW world. When the Transmission issue is sorted out I will be piloting the car and posting results as they are available. Since the Single is not so dependent on weight reduction results will be with full interior and my heavy self.
