leather interior

Ok....so long story short i have been offered an e92 leather interior. Seats, door cards, center console the works for £150!!

First question is are they easy to fit?

Second question would i be mad to turn it down? (I am in danger of incurring the wrath of the other half after shelling out on remap, new wheels etc etc)

Excellent price if they are decent.

they look ok to me.... Im just unsure about the functions working. I have an SE with partial electric seats and these have more features.

Is it as easy as plugging them in and having some functions that wont work or will i end up with loads of errors and problems?

You will need coding for the extra electric controls.
Still at that price seems like a bargain.

its all fairly easy to fit but the console will need care and patience to avoid damaging it.

I wouldnt change the console as that already has the leather arm rest etc. Im wondering if its possible to change the seat cushions onto the existing frames to save any problems?

Wayy easier to change the entire seats out. Front seats are held in with four bolts, literally a twenty minute job.. Back seats a little more work but search for a guide on here. Should take no longer than two hours to do!

Check out the options for coding before you commit. You need to see if the wiring is already in place, because if it is not it will be a nightmare of a job.

if you get the rear tray with sliding lid bit please can I buy it ?

I accidently scratched my quite bad

you could sell the seats for more than that if they don't work!
grab the bargain while it's there, tell other half you'll make £150 selling excess parts & your current seats etc!

Worth of checking with him.

if the new seats are memory seats and you only have semi electric you will be looking around 4 hours labour as the part electric are hard wired and the memory seats are run through the cars network.
My car originally had memory and it was a nightmare changing to part electric.

trust me a fair bit of work involved as the memory seats are linked to the mirrors, windows and central locking.

You would be cheaper paying a trimmer to swap covers over on the front seats.

Dont know about the coupes but for my E91 se manual to full electric you need extra + and - to passenger and 2 + and 2 - wires plus k bus wires to drivers.

As long as the air bags are ok and seats are in good condition then they should be £500....so unless the guy has no concept of money then they will be cheap for a reason or stolen.
