Actually I meant the 27MM socket, it's the same one I use to replace the oil filter on my 04 330ci. Let me see if I have all the tools straight.

17mm - to remove the oil drain plug?
8mm - to remove the nuts holding the air cabin air filter?
5mm or 6mm torx driver (looks like a star?) for the air cleaner? How many miles before that needs replacing?

I would have them to the oil change only and do the rest yourself. The AC microfilter is cheap (about $28 on Amazon) and it takes about 5 minutes to change.

[quote=azzurribaggio;9738949].

Change every 4,000 miles? Isn't that overkill with synthetic oil? That's whole reason to get synthetic oil is to extend the time needed to replace the oil. I'm sure there are many threads on this debate.

4k is ridiculous. When BMW used regular oil, the average change interval was 7,500 and it doubled when they went to OEM synthetic back in 1999. While I prefer not to exceed 10,000 on synthetic, 4,000 is a waste of money and resources.

Yup, its just one plug and a mater of turning the oil filter housing counter clockwise.: "Righty tighty, lefty losey" lol: Don't forget to put a pan underneath the cars drain plug because oil can get messy. Also if anyone needs BMW to pump their gas they only charge $100 for labor.

5mm or 6mm torx driver (looks like a star?) for the air cleaner? How many miles before that needs replacing? - Engine airfilter change is every 3rd oil change (@BMW CBS OCI intervals).

Love to see a video of you changing the oil in 5 minutes. I'll bet you $1,000 you can't do it in 5 minutes.

It will take you 5 mins just to drain most of the oil out...
