Very nice take some photos when the B12s installed like to see the amount of drop as mine is the Birds B3 suspension same setup different valving and spring rates on mine are custom.
You will notice a big change in handling will be stiffer if you change your sway bars.

BMR H8 installed
I have finally got around to doing something about the stock AE bulbs on my car. I decided to give the BMR H8 AE LEDs a go and am very happy with the outcome. Very much an improvement over stock and she glows just the right shade of white and is a great match for the BMR LED number plate lights I fitted a while back. Here's a comparo shot showing the stock vs the BMR H8s. Fitting is a tricky bit of work as it is so tight in the back of the lamp housing but persistence paid off.

No not yet, although it is killing me seeing it just sitting around. I am going for the home-run with M3 upper and lower control arms, rear sub-frame bushes and a full shock/strut mounts kit - still waiting on those bits to arrive.

Since you're doing it all together, you won't be able to tell the improvements. |

Ditching the RFTs
Step 1 was a BMW Mobility Kit. The benefit there is a 12V plug-in air compressor I can use to check and top up air pressure in the tyres of the car and the bikes. And use with the included sealant if I ever have a flat. All in a zip-up storage bag which fits neatly in the boot.
Step 2 was a search for wheels. I have always liked cross spoked wheels on BMWs. But I have been turned off the CSL style wheels because every other BMW has a set. I came across the BBS CX-R in anthracite and diamond cut finish and was sold on it. Cross-spokes with a twist - 19 X 8.5 front and 19 X 9.5 rear. Now just waiting for Tire Rack to come through with the tyres. Last edited by JJH; 07-03-2017 at 07:16 PM.. |

I'll be using Anthony Costello here in Canberra to do the install of all the components and probably Howard Revell for the alignment. Who have you used yourself, anyone else you can recommend?
Offsets front and rear are ET32; the cost was exactly what I wanted to pay for them ... So am I - I found very few pics of black E92s with them on but I think they'll work out. Hope so! |

More completed today
Things are moving fast with some more work on the 335i. Thanks to getting my hands on some new hardware, I have been able to make progress in the engine/tune department. With my new ER FMIC and ER charge pipe with Forge DVs arriving, I was able to take them and the AR-Design catless DPs in to be installed. The DPs were the only tricky bit apparently but once done, the COBB Stage 2+FMIC ST Aggressive tune was loaded and the car given a run on the dyno. Here are the results - very pleased and no issues seem to have surfaced. Happy with that.
For comparison, I had the car on the dyno to measure up where it was as of this morning running the Stage 1 ST Aggressive. That registered ~220kW; after the hardware went in and still running the Stage 1, she pulled ~240kW and then finally the top number. And for the record, I am reconsidering any sort of aftermarket exhaust now - the DPs alone have made quite a difference to the note. More aggressive for sure and a nice crackle to it. And the turbos spooling up are wicked too. The beauty is that you get to hear all that with the window down. Then you get an almost stock subdued exhaust note when the windows are up. I should add that I do have the exhaust flapper permanently OPEN! Last edited by JJH; 07-03-2017 at 07:17 PM.. Reason: updated info |

For a wheel allignment I originally booked into Revell in Fyshwick. It's quite out of the way for me but had previously heard a few good things so thought I'd give them a go. Dropped it off at 8am and picked it up at 5pm and it wasn't touched. They said - "Nah mate we didn't get to it today.. Just book it in another day". Like I just worked across the road or something. Pffft.. Their workshop also looked like a bomb hit it. SO went around to Capital Steering and Suspention. Couldn't be happier! |

Thanks for that - I spoke with AC and asked who he recommended. He also said they used Capital Steering and Suspention for customers who wanted a premium job. Seems to be the place to go to for us Canberra guys!

BBS wheels fitted at last
I finally received my set of Michelin PSS’ and had them fitted up. Here are the results which I am very happy with. I have not yet installed the Bilstein B12 ProKit so there will be a slight drop all round but wanted to post these up. And yes, after the suspension will be LCI rears, Cyba exhaust tips and gloss black grills ….

She looks great the spokes remind me of the RS4 rims (kinda!)
Is that a 275 rear? LCI tails and painted gloss black window trims would really set your car off |

Those rims looks good! The finish suits the black really well. Great numbers on the dyno as well. I'm also waiting for the AR DPs to go on. Hopefully get it before the dyno day next weekend.
