Spring Options, Wheel Spacers and Lower Grill Splitter
Hello,
This is my second post on here and I can say so far so good! My car is an 07' 335i Sedan. My first question is about spring options. I want to lower my car a touch and by that I mean no more than an inch. Just enough to fill out the fender gap but not tucking. I would love to go lower but my driveway is so steep that I can't go any lower! So, with that being said... what options do I have? I was wondering if m sport springs would give a slightly more aggressive stance. Second, wheel spacers... anyone had any bad issues running them? Lastly, the lower grill splitters/ trim. Are they removable? Thanks in advance guys! |

I do believe the lower grill bars are removable, however I think they look awkward not being there as the mesh does not run behind it... its a solid piece and you can see the mounting tabs as well. Thats why youve probably seen pictures of people just painting them or going to a different bumper.
Adjustable Koni yellows seem to be what most people go with for our cars, the ride doesnt change much but the handling gets better as I have been told. |

If you're looking for just springs, plenty of ppl here use H&R springs. I would suggest H&R sport springs as it has dropped about 1/2 inch on my car. You can check out the range of drop on their website, depending on the spring line.
As far as spacers are concerned, it really depends on the offset and gap you'll have (assuming you'll be lowering the car). And for the lower splitters (called finishing rods), Mike is right in that if you simply remove them, you'll notice the mounting brackets. I've seen ppl paint them black to make them less noticeable. |

1) Lowering - check out the H&R sports as well as the eibach pro kit 2) if you don't have sport package you will need to replace the shocks - koni sport shocks (referred to on e90post as koni yellows) are really popular and definitely improve handling 3) spacers - check out bmstuning for their spacers, theyre the best bang for your buck imo, however they are hubcentric with extended lugs. if you want to space any wider than 18mm i strongly suggest getting lug centric spacers to avoid any problems. I'm running H&R race with koni yellows and i have no complaints. spaced 12/15mm front/rear respectively. great ride and corners are way more fun. feel free to PM me if you need any more info.

I removed the center piece of the lower grill when i updated my FMIC. I used a dremel to cut off the mounting brackets so it blends better...a good option if you aren't worried about putting the center piece back on.
