Knock knock
Who's there?
. . . . . . . . . . . . Procede Individual Cylinder Ignition Advance Monitoring We've been running it on our 700hp single turbo for a little while. We will be porting it over to the standard twin turbo software later this week. Which means it won't be too long before this update will be available for all our Procede users. I don't like giving teasers but I will say that this new function will do more than just monitor things Shiv |

Cool. I've always wondered if all the cylinders were happy and knock free.
Glad to see you adding features and raising the bar!

So i was only a matter of firmware?
Or the rev2 was incapable of monitoring all the cylinders and only rev3 has this abilities? Does it need any hardware modifications to enable this feature or is it only firmware modifications? |

Congrats. This is a critical feature needed to monitor that the engine is running properly. Your end users will benefit greatly from this.

Noisy = possible knock occuring. The cylinders have a lot of timing corrections taking place. If you watch as the boost pressure increases on the top graph, you see the individual cylinders start backing off timing instead of steadily increasing as RPM's rise.

Ya, I knew noise equated to knock typically. I guess I just don't understand how you're able to read that from the basic chart listed above.
Either way, thanks for the help. |

Not sure what you are missing. The different colors respresent individual cylinder timing advance. If you view the CAN DME IGN advance portion of the graph you will see there is times when cylinders back off timing, which is the DME reacting to knock events.

OMG PROCEDE IS STEALING STUFF FROM COBB!!!!????!??!?!??!?!?
See how stupid you all sound when you say the same thing towards BMS. All jokes aside its good that the tuners are still working on stuff that isn't single turbo related. Well done guys. |

No Shiv said it will be used for more than just monitoring.

Wait.. You honestly think the timing activity in this log at such low load/low boost are actually related to knock? Come on.. You can see the timing drops at as low as 2psi which is held out for ~2 seconds. The engine is barely under any load at all
