Please recommend a shop for mechanical work in GVA

Hello,

Just went to Auto West BMW to get my car checked to see if any work needed to be done. Purchased my current vehicle through a private sale earlier in the summer.

Auto West assessed there is problems with:
Transmission Cooler Hose Leaking
Coolant Expansion Tank Leveler Broken
Oil Leak alone bell housing and oil pan, need further diag to confirm
Front thrust rod bushing leaking

The Advisor say's it's gonna be north of $1000, most like around $1500 or so. Any one could recommend me on a decent German Car shop that doesnt charge me an arm and a leg?

Well appreciated. I live in Richmond.

I go to AHM automotive on Bridgeport. He knows BMWs very well. Tell the owner Chris that Tara sent you.

Nixon is too expensive for what they do. they do a okay job. one time they forgot to plug in my oil pressure sensor after a job.

Also i asked how much for a ATF drain and fill. they quoted me over $1,000. Was pretty hard to keep a straight face when i heard that.

don't get me wrong. I just think they are overpriced. if you don't know any place to go, they are a good. but i think you can find just as good for a better price.

Anyone know a place to get a valve cover gasket changed for a decent price? I injured my back and I won't be able to work on my car for a couple of months.

+1
Nixon have a good rep for their work but every time I ask them for a quote they are at least 10-20% higher than the dealership, believe it or not. When I call them on it, they say 'that can't be; doesn't make sense; your bill will be higher with add-ons'.

CG Motorsport in Richmond offers decent prices and I heard their work is pretty good.
