I've been using Mobil 1 0w40 eurocar formula since 27k. I'm at 49996. No problems I like they way it runs much better!

But if you wanna spend a little extra dough! Motul!

Just put in some 8100 x-cess 5w40 yesterday. That said, I am looking forward to putting M1 0w40 in at the next change. Engines wear most when they're cold starting, so the lower the weight of the oil, the better.

Next oil change I'm going to try out AMSoil 0-40 and see how that goes. I've had great experiences with AMSoil in my previous cars.

I am using Motul 300V Power 5W40 in my n54 335i, F10 M5 and in my wife F20 116i (which will be tuned soon up to 200HP).
I am using Motul LL04 SPEC oil 5W30, 5W40 in my F30 320d.

When using Motul 300V Power oils, more frequent oil change is need as these oils are not long-life. I am changing Motul 300V Power 5W40 by 5.000 kms (F10 M5/n54 335i), up to 7.000 km (F20 116i) on street driving.

That's a fantastic oil! I will be doing this next as well if I find it in a store locally.

I think whats more important then the brand oil you use is how often you change it. Doesn't matter how good the oil is, if it's dirty, it's no good.

For those who don't already know this, the W stands for winter, not weight. The number relates to the oils viscosity (thickness). The higher the number the more viscous the oil is.
