To be honest with you, you could say that any company is "shady" in what they do. That's the way of the business world. All this drama over a photo, used on an EBay store (A small percentage of their business revenue), is totally unneccesary in my opinion. You have to remember this product is something an 8 year old can put together, it isn't rocket science.

Just read the entire thread and first thought is it sucks for the OP. Shady on BMS part. Then some post were talking about how this was done to promote sales, made me think of boxing matches and everything else that gets hyped up and I started

Messages from Terry are not allowed to be posted on E90post because he was banned from here many years ago. Mike is well aware of this and posted it anyway.

There seem to be quite a few people who don't know BMS's history. Do a little searching. Terry's username on E90post was Terry335 before he got banned for actively marketing a copied product known as "terrytuner" without being a supporting vendor.

That's making excuses and silly to say that its the price or complexity of a product that determines whether its ok to steal photos of for your own use. Also, saying it's ok because others do it too is also nothing but an excuse. That's like saying stealing something is OK because others do it too :

I don't care if it's a 2 dollar product and takes 3 minutes to make or is 2 grand and days to make. The act of stealing pics on either of these products is equally reprehensible.

Why are you even replying to this douche (e90Company)? The guy has been a member for 6 months and has 5000 posts, should tell you something....
He knows nothing about ethics and business practices.
His comment on"just the picture" and "small revenue" tells you all about his knowledge on the subject.

BMS, historically and currently is a bunch of dogs and should not get any business, especially from us here... There are other, and better, options...

Posting again -- the fact that BMS has suddenly removed the pictures from their listing seems to indicate that they are guilty and trying to save their brand image before this snowballs and more members read this post.

I'm completely disgusted the way some businesses operate. Stealing someone's idea, undercutting the price, and calling it your own (not to mention better than the idea you stole) is just unethical and wrong. Things like this make my blood boil

To recap since the BMS's response is banned. They basically are not admitting fault. And he keeps gong off on a tangent saying that I think I invented the clutch stop when I clearly never said that. What I did invent was the first “easy to install adjustable E90 clutch stop”.

With regards to the use of my photos, he claims that it was his webmasters fault. Why would a webmaster post pictures of my clutch stop when you swear you created it on your own. If you did make it one day at home depot, wouldn't you give pictures to the webmaster to post? Afterall....how can a webmaster post pictures of something that didn't exist until you just put it together? Makes no sense to me....but I guess it does to some.

For those who love BMS, more power to you. Keep at it.

I've informed the public of my situation and they can judge for themselves. The pictures are worth a thousand words.

Like I have said and updated in my original post, they've taken down my pictures. There's nothing else I expect from a Company like that.

I'm happy to be a part of such a good BMW community. Thanks for the support and understanding.
