My E92 got 33.2 mpg over 115 miles into Boston
Drove into Boston today and set the computer when I left. Kept up with the traffic on I-95 at 65-78 and got 33.2mpg over the 115 miles, including the last part actually driving in traffic into Cambridge and parking. I thought that was pretty good (7000 miles on the clock and A/C was off because it was nice outside).
Only got near 29 on the way back with much worse traffic and AC on... but filled up with gas near home and the computer says 472 miles to next gas stop. Anyone seen over 500 yet? This is pretty amazing for an engine with such power. |

LOL Just call me lightfoot... no I don't usually get that good a mileage but the traffic was flowing with no opportunity for really going for it.... oh yes and I got a warning from the cops yesterday so maybe that made a difference to my mileage

My car's computer says 21.x mpg, an I like to floor it in first sometimes. Strange. I'm not disatisfied with it of course, not by a long shot, but this is in my E90. I've reset it a few times a long time ago and got about 430 miles left on a full tank.

On my loaner car 335i, I have gone through almost 2 tanks of gas in only 12 days and 310 miles... somebody wanna do the math on that?
I litterally floor the car almost 80% of the time until I reach my desired speed. |

Wow, that is great mileage! I used to make that trip a lot from Boston to Hartford, and I averaged 28-29mpg in my E36 M3 doing about 75-80mpg.
Watch out for those Connecticut Staties...big time assholes and the tickets are big dough! I received a ticket for 85 in a 65, $300! |

Im getting 18.5! Damn... Guess when I put the PROcede back on it will go down a little. But when I installed it, mileage seemed to go up oddly.

I recently drove from Salem, OR to Redwood City, CA in 7hrs 45min, and got 22.5mpg. My trip computer showed an average of 84.5mph for the trip, including two stops for gas/food, and many acceleration runs after getting past packs of cars (usually from ~60mph back up to ~120mph). I was pretty happy with that.

Fast forward a few weeks, she shows up the court date with documentation of everything she had, proof from the DMV that her license wasn't suspended at all, etc. etc. blah blah blah long story short the judge tells her the entire CT state police is corrupt as fuck and drops EVERYTHING on her and she STILL has to pay $60 to get a new license from the DMV cause the asshole cop never gave hers back. /end rant about ct state police

Wow! How in the heck do you get 33? The best I've gotten was around 28 went I drove to DC a few months ago. My usual average is around 21.... about 50/50 city and highway.

Ive been driving this car much more conservatively than I have my other cars in the past. Hardly ever really romping on it. Still, on the highway I havent been able to get over 22mpg. This sucks.
